If your computer was not connected to the Internet when you started Virtual Office, the following notification will appear after a few minutes.
If you open the Virtual Office Console while you are not connected to the Internet, the Open Office area at the bottom of the window will describe your current status.
Don't panic! If you are connected to a TCP/IP network you can still use your Virtual Office to collaborate with other users. But other users will have to locate you using your computer's IP address. You will be unable to contact Farallon's Name Server computer (located at Farallon's headquarters) and update your Internet Name information. The dialog box displayed above lists the most common reasons for Internet Name updating problems.
You can leave Virtual Office running while you dial in to your Internet provider or while you fix your network problem. Once you have established a good Internet connection, your Internet Name will appear in the Open Office area.
